Own the software your business runs on

We build the system your operation depends on and set it up in your company’s name: the code, the data and the hosting. You stop paying per seat, and nobody can raise the price of software you already own.

Signs you’re renting your operation

Subscription software is a good way to start. These are the points where it starts to cost more than it gives back.

The bill grows every time you hire

Per-seat pricing turns headcount into a software cost. Field crews and part-time staff who only need one screen still count as a seat.

Your rules live on their platform

Formulas, automations and workflows only run where they were built. An export gives you the rows, not the logic that makes them useful.

You design around the platform’s ceilings

Step limits, run timeouts and storage pricing decide how your process works, instead of the other way round.

You can’t walk away from the renewal

When the system holds years of records, the renewal price isn’t a negotiation. And the roadmap is theirs, not yours.

What you own at the end

Everything is set up in your company’s accounts from day one. If we stopped working together, nothing would stop running.

How a move works

  1. Review what you run today

We go through your current system, its tables and rules and the work around it, and tell you plainly whether moving is worth it.

  2. Rebuild in stages

The first stage replaces the part that costs you most. Your team keeps working in the old system in the meantime.

  3. Move and check the data

Every record comes across and is checked against the original before anyone switches.

  4. Switch over, then keep improving

We train your team, you cancel the subscription, and we stay on for changes for as long as you want us.

Is owning right for you?

Renting is the right call for plenty of teams. We’ll tell you which side you’re on in the first conversation, and we still build on Quickbase.

  • You’re still working out how you operate

Own it when

Questions about owning

What does it cost?

It depends on the size of the system. After reviewing what you run today, we quote each stage before we start it. Hosting is billed to you directly by the provider, not marked up by us.

Who looks after it after launch?

We do, if you want us to. Many clients keep a regular working session and a support queue with us. Because the code and accounts are yours, any developer can take it over instead.

Can you move us off Quickbase?

Yes. We’ve built on Quickbase since 2015, so we know how its tables, formulas and automations map to code. We move in stages and check every record against the original before anyone switches.

Where does it run?

In accounts your company owns, usually a hosting platform such as Vercel with a managed database. If your IT team has a preferred cloud, we can build for it.
